This model is based on the Great Western Railway's stylish railcar locomotives built in conjunction with the AEC motor company. Earlier versions of the railcar were nicknamed “Flying Bananas” though this is the “razor” type of body styling from the 1930s, putting the GWR way ahead of its competitors in this field of locomotive development. GWR No.34 specifically build to move parcels traffic throughout the London suburbs however the rest of the fleet were designed to move passengers along short branch lines, supplementing the Auto-trains widely spread across the Great Western system. The model is made with a steel body and has two belt driven power bogies, we do not know who built this model or when it was completed.
